TSSCs Foray to Seven Springs PA ... BY Suzanne Boyd
29 TSSC members joined by Barbara and Robert Gaul from Florida with oranges from
their backyard
-- had a GREAT time in Seven Springs PA Feb. 20 -23. The trip was wonderfully organized by
Denny and Cathy Sutton (who made scrumptious home-made cookies). Thank you! Special thanks
also to Jim, Mike M. and Mark for being Luggage Valets. Mark created his usual Back Seat
Lounge on the bus, giving people a chance to play cards. First-timers Paige, Pam, Wes,
Chuck, Mike V., Mike M. Wendy and the rest of the group made the all-day bus ride fun and
comfortable with their quick wit, games and plenty of snacks and stops. Debbie won all the
games on the ride home, but nothing can top her Priscilla and Prisynthia contest. Mike
Chalk Man Montgomery kept the Wheel of Fortune game going, but the rain kept
washing the numbers off the bus tire. On the slopes, Friday was gorgeous and sunny with
good powder. Light rain and fog in the afternoon continued through Saturday, but it
didnt keep folks off the slopes. Sunday, despite winds and ice, many of us were out
there again, with Joe Scott getting in over 20 runs in 2 hours. Steve and Marilou are
TSSCs official snow board experts, with bruises to prove it (despite strategically
placed padding). Special thanks also to Jim, Mark and Joe for serving as Mountain Guides,
letting women follow them around in the fog (When they claim that women followed them
around, its true!). Linda Scott can
ski any slope; as long as you tell her its a Blue, shes off! Evil
Donna Courtney behaved herself this year, so weve decided to let her go on
more trips. Donna and Wendy have mastered Sit Skiing as a way of getting off
slopes we hated. (Hint: take the skis off first.) Hey, whatever works! |

| Daytime skiing was rounded out with nighttime partying, hosted by Patti
Davis and Bob and Marlene Balance. Jokes and new movie ideas were supplied by Patti, Wes
and Steve. Kaye got even with The Baltimore Group (Steves buddies) for keeping her
awake by removing their Do Not Disturb signs. The Tri-State Dance Troupe too many
to name individually -- made us proud again this year at the clubs and on the dance floor.
Luan, Chuck and Michael introduced us to new dance steps: The Booty Call, The Dirty Dog,
The Percolator, and Karate Dance. The women made us proud by boosting the local economy
with SHOPPING. Marilou found a special on CDs and thong underwear (which Troy
offered to model). Luan found a great special: just $10 for a braided black leather whip
(what she does with it we leave to your imagination.) |
